Meet your host
In 2017 I heard a word I had never heard before: amyloidosis. What followed was about two years of chemotherapy, a clinical drug trial, and more questions than anyone could answer. I learned quickly that this disease is rare, easy to miss, and lonely to live with.
I also learned that the thing that carried me through was not only medicine. It was mindset. The choice, every single day, to take action instead of becoming a victim of the diagnosis.
I started Elevate Amyloidosis to give patients, caregivers, and physicians a place to hear the real story. The symptoms that got dismissed. The long road to a diagnosis. The moments someone finally felt heard. If you are just starting this journey, I want you to know you are not alone, and there is still a lot of life to live.
